Sandaya and Apprentis d'Auteuil

Sandaya supports Apprentis d’Auteuil

Since 2020, Sandaya has been committed to helping youngsters and families in difficulty by supporting the Apprentis d’Auteuil foundation, working together to provide the most appropriate solutions for those most in need.

In practical terms Sandaya demonstrates this commitment by:

  • Accepting youngsters for occupational training within the Sandaya campsites.
  • Supporting a scheme developed by Apprentis d’Auteuil aimed at encouraging, through training, the social and professional integration of those youngsters in greatest difficulty:
    • via the sponsorships, testimonies, presentations to introduce the professions involved in the world of camping, etc, undertaken by the Sandaya employees.
    • via financial help (funding provided through the apprenticeship tax paid by Sandaya).
  • Offering families supported by Apprentis d’Auteuil, not always able to get away on holiday, a chance to enjoy a stay at a Sandaya campsite.

What is Apprentis d’Auteuil?

A foundation recognised by the French government as serving the public interest, Apprentis d’Auteuil has been working to help and support the most vulnerable youngsters and families for 150 years.

Protecting children, supporting parents in their educational role, innovating in favour of youngsters estranged from their family or in difficulty at school and helping them find their place in society and at work; these are the principal missions undertaken by Apprentis d’Auteuil.

The foundation’s approach is to provide a personalised support based on kindness and trust, one that respects everyone, whatever their background.

Their actions

An organisation firmly anchored in the field, the Apprentis d’Auteuil foundation has more than 240 establishments and structures spread throughout France:

  • Child protection: the mission to protect children concerns all youngsters, from 0 to 18 years, taken into care by the government body Aide Sociale à l’Enfance.
  • Education, schooling and working to prevent children dropping out of school: teaching methods adapted to each and a personalised educational follow-up are key to successful schooling for youngsters suffering from learning or behavioural difficulties.
  • Social and professional integration: schemes that help youngsters to take a first step towards independence and adult life. Apprentis d’Auteuil develops social accommodation, supported housing for young workers, training programmes created jointly with businesses and schemes to accompany young entrepreneurs.
  • Family support: working alongside the most vulnerable families to help them regain confidence in their educational abilities and to build relationships between them.
