It's almost time for the mobile home holiday and the moment that so many dread and so many love: packing. Afraid you might forget something? Do you suffer from the "just in case" syndrome meaning that you tend to take more with you than you need? This article is just for you! We present our checklist to help ensure that you can set off on your mobile home holiday without having to worry about a thing. So take out your pens!
Check the equipment before you arrive
Unlike holidays in a campervan or a tent, mobile home holidays are all about peace of mind. There is no need to overload yourself with equipment that takes up a lot of space. A mobile home is a miniature version of your own home where everything is designed to ensure you the same level of comfort. At the very least, you will find a fully equipped kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, an indoor and outdoor area, as well as crockery and kitchen utensils, everything you need for an enjoyable stay. But if you still have doubts, or you simply want to check what equipment will be there, it's easy: a simple phone call to the campsite or a visit to the website and you will know everything you need to know.
Bed linen or not bed linen?
It's already good to know that there is equipment, but what about the other things, such as bed linen, towels, kitchen accessories etc.? In general, sheets and towels are not included in the stay, so remember to pack some, however, sometimes, if you pay a little extra, they can be supplied and it may even be possible to have the beds made on arrival! Check with the campsite or take a look at the website to avoid disappointment. Better to be safe than sorry, as the saying goes!
Remember cleaning products!
We agree, it isn't the part of the holiday we prefer, but before vacating your seasonal accommodation you always have to clean it. Therefore, remember to bring essential cleaning products with you, such as bin bags, sponges, tea towels, washing-up liquid, washing powder etc. If you have decided to make the most of your holiday right up until the very last minute, an "end of stay cleaning package" is often available on payment of a supplement and is even included with some types of accommodation, such as Sandaya's PREMIUM rental units.
Bring all kinds of games to play
First and foremost, holidays are all about having fun. This means that you need to plan ahead: be sure to add games of all kinds to your mobile home holiday checklist. Whether it's card games, board games, a ball, a bike or a scooter, there's plenty of room to fit everything in since your cosy summer nest is fully equipped! Did you forget to take something? Don't panic, all kinds of activities are available on-site in the low and high season: pétanque, fitness, sport competitions or karaoke. Take a look at the events programme when you arrive to be sure not to miss your favourite session!
Solutions available on-site if needed
Sometimes you might forget a few things despite your faultless organisation. But, don’t panic, the campsites have thought of everything and offer grocery stores where you can buy croissants and bread every morning, laundry facilities so that you always have something nice to wear, and they also loan sports equipment so that you can play mini-golf or pétanque. Phew, the holiday has been saved!
