Winding through the limestone mountains of the Massif Central, the Gorges du Tarn awaits you with its awe-inspiring scenery between the Causse Méjean and the Causse de Sauveterre.
Set off on an excursion from your Sandaya campsite and you’ll be astounded by the variety of landscapes along this immense canyon. You’ll also find the Grands Causses Natural Regional Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Of course, we can also mention the River Jonte, a smaller but equally lovely companion to the Gorges du Tarn. If you go for a hike, you’ll come across the astonishing Sèvre Vase and Chinese Vase, two striking stone formations. The perfect spot a few souvenir snapshots with your family or your special someone!
When you’re camping in the Occitanie region, make the most of the nearby Gorges du Tarn for some serious fun in the water. We can certainly recommend a sightseeing trip through this stunning scenery in a canoe or kayak… Take a moment to look up as you paddle along and you’ll spot the Château de Peyrelade and the village of Mostuéjouls.
