The Pont d'Arc, the perfect holiday destination!
The Pont d'Arc, a unique geological curiosity, is the gateway to one of the jewels of the Ardèche, the Gorges de l’Ardèche. Whether from the land or the river, this exceptional natural site will provide the stage for many adventures with family, friends or a loved one.
Your holiday programme at your Sandaya campsite will be as follows: swimming with the family in one of the two heated water parks, a relaxing break at the spa for adults and creative and fun activities for the little ones at the free children's clubs, all set in 14 hectares of verdant surroundings. And the little extra that makes all the difference: direct access to the river. Perfect!
Visit the Pont d'Arc with your family
Water is irresistible to children, so it's important and even essential to take your own little tribe to one of the Pont d'Arc's two small beaches on the riverside to take advantage of the joys of the water. And you won't regret it, because watching your children splashing around, having fun and shrieking with laughter in such an enchanting setting is something that has no price.
After a gourmet break to recharge the batteries, the entire family will head to the famous Chauvet 2 cave, the replica of the original UNESCO-listed cave. Young and old alike will set out on a fascinating journey through time to discover the 36,000-year-old cave paintings of prehistoric men and women!
Visit the Pont d'Arc as a couple
Starting from the Pont d'Arc, take a canoe trip with your loved one down the Gorges de l’Ardèche. You have two options: a "peaceful" 6 km route with a quick adrenaline rush at the Charlemagne rapids, perfect for a quiet outing, or a route to Saint-Martin-d'Ardèche... 24 km away! Whichever one you choose, you will definitely be stunned by the beauty of the surroundings that reveal themselves to you as you paddle along.
You haven't had your fill of sport and you want more? Put on your walking boots and follow one of the many hiking trails in the surrounding area. The combination of sport and contact with the unspoilt natural environment of the Ardèche is a dream for sporting lovebirds.
