Visit Amboise with the family
Everyone saddle up! From your Sandaya campsite, travel along the Loire à Vélo with the family, which is a very long cycle route along the riverside. Have a lovely outing all the way to Amboise! On this route, you'll come across some wonderful scenery. You'll be able to visit the Maison de la Loire and enjoy the entertainment there, see the royal Château de Blois standing in the heart of the town and also the emblematic white stones of the town of Amboise, which alone is home to 25 historic monuments.
And at nightfall, don't miss the sound & light show that's projected onto the walls of the château; a magical story which you'll find bewitching!
Visit Amboise as a couple
Château d’Amboise and its sublime gardens will form an unmissable part of your camping stay in the Centre-Val de Loire! Looking out over the town, the home of the kings of France is an invitation to embark on a journey back to the heart of the Renaissance era, to a time when a certain Leonardo da Vinci, architect to the king, was living here.
So you should certainly go and enjoy a look around Château du Clos Lucé, da Vinci's residence and a genuine open-air museum! Both inside and out, you'll be able to admire his genius in all its forms!
And then you can round off your day with a romantic candle-lit dinner on the banks of the Loire. It's now time for the fine food of the Loire to take you on a journey!
