Grimaud, the ideal holiday destination!

On the road to Fréjus, Grimaud is an unmissable port of call during your campsite stay in the Var. The incredible diversity of its landscapes, between the mediaeval village at the foot of the Maures Massif and the lagoon town on the shores of the Mediterranean, it’s hardly surprising that it is so appreciated by holidaymakers and locals from the Var alike. An entire village listed as a historical monument, and a lagoon town classified as a 20th Century Heritage Site. So, as by now you’ve certainly realised, Grimaud offers two very different horizons for the price of one, for a trip twice as far from the everyday.

And since you amply deserve a relaxing stay at the seaside, it’s time to make the most of the very special setting offered by our Sandaya campsites on the Var coast. Just a stone’s throw from the beaches, it’s bathing and summer suntan guaranteed! Choose your accommodation from amongst our fully-equipped cottages and our authentic camping pitches, and prepare to enjoy all our activities: water park with swimming pools and waterslides, sports activities in the great outdoors, free entertainment... the campsite adapts to meet all your desires!

Visit Grimaud with the family

There’s no doubt about it, a seaside holiday is always a firm favourite with the kids! And on the Côte d’Azur, the possibilities are endless when it comes to bathing. In Grimaud, in addition to the beaches, you can also enjoy a unique trip with the family aboard an electric boat or a water taxi: simply set your heading for the lagoon-town of Port-Grimaud!

Deep in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Port-Grimaud has all the appearance of a delightfully French Venice. Born of a dream by the architect François Spoerry, who wanted every inhabitant to be able to moor their boat just opposite their front door, Port-Grimaud is a town to discover along its canals with their multi-coloured Provençal houses. A whole new world to explore! And for the perfect family portrait, climb to the top of the medieval castle where the sublime panorama over the entire gulf offers an unbeatable backdrop.

Visit Grimaud as a couple

Fancy a romantic break far from the everyday? You won’t be able to resist the picturesque décor offered by the village of Grimaud. No need to follow the map, simply wander as your footsteps take you through the labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets lined with flowers. All the more so in summer, when the bougainvillea bursts into bloom and colours the entire village purple. Time for a break? Head for Place Vieille and a refreshing drink on a café terrace. The locals enjoying a game of pétanque? Why not follow their example?

After having explored the village, head to the heights to discover it from a different angle. One of the favourite outings for the local folk of the Var is a walk to the Fairies’ Bridge, a remarkable beauty spot between river and poppy fields. There’s no doubt about it, you are in the very heart of Provence!
