The Larzac, a must-see holiday destination

In Aveyron, near your Sandaya campsite in the South of France, discover the Larzac, the largest plateau in the Grands Causses! If you're camping with your family or as a couple, come and explore this 1,000 km² natural park, which reaches heights of between 600 and 800 metres. With fossils and shells forming the backbone of the karst, the Larzac is a mix of nature, history and cultural immersion, a complete experience to enjoy with your loved ones!

From your 4 or 5 star campsite, head off for a hike on the Dolmens path, an accessible trail where you can observe the wildlife of the Causses and the Cévennes. You could even take a little detour to explore the Dourbie or Tarn gorges nearby!

If you’re a gourmet at heart, savour the local specialities during your camping holiday near the Larzac. We also recommend the Roquefort caves where you can try the famous cheese!

A perfect blend of cultural excursions, sports activities and the simple joys of being on holiday, the Larzac is a must-see destination during your family camping break in the Aveyron! Take a stroll through the Templar and Hospitaller villages, where your children can pretend to be medieval knights!

On very hot days, head down to the Gorges du Tarn or the Gorges de la Dourbie near Larzac to refresh yourself, before returning to the campsite and enjoying one of our entertainment evenings!
