First organised in 1905, the Festival des Filets Bleus forms an integral part of Concarneau’s history with a renown that has today spread throughout the whole of Brittany. As each year, in the month of August, it pays tribute to its local heritage in a region justly proud of its traditions. Concerts of Celtic music, processions in traditional costume plus plenty of entertainment and activities based on and around the sea, are celebrated all day long in a festive family atmosphere!
Relying on the incredible work put in by the volunteers, the festival has successfully lived up to the challenge of offering only concerts and entertainment that are completely free of charge, except for the parade. So don’t miss one of the largest festivals in Brittany during your holiday in the Finistère. Come and make Concarneau your own, during this major event!
