Visit Atur as a couple
Natural and authentic, the region around Atur is a vast green lung that you’ll adore exploring above ground, underground or down on the fast-flowing water. But for a romantic visit, just the two of you, the Dordogne also means the picturesque towns and villages characteristic of the Périgord, to discover with every trip you take!
You don’t even need to go very far, around the campsite there’s no shortage of fascinating destinations: Périgueux and its labyrinth of medieval streets, ideal for losing yourselves hand-in-hand; Brantôme, whose charm earned it the nickname of the “Venice of the Périgord”; Sarlat and its innumerable listed monuments... Simply follow where your footsteps lead, it will soon become your favourite pastime!

Remember to note the market days in your diary: the one in Périgueux is an absolute must-visit!
In summer, the castles are often under siege: visit them in the morning to avoid a long queue.
After Lascaux, extend your underground journey with a visit to the Villars cave to the north of your campsite!
Don’t miss stopping off in the famous town of Bergerac to admire, amongst others, the statue of Cyrano!
