Brive-la-Gaillarde, the ideal holiday destination!
During your camping holiday in the Périgord, you really won't tire of exploring its vast, protected landscapes. And as holidays are just made for seeing the country, make the most of it by paying a visit to Brive-la-Gaillarde in the Corrèze, neighbouring the Dordogne! This is the biggest town in the department, as well as the most appealing, teeming as it is with activities to try out in town and in the surrounding area.
And when it comes to accommodation, a mobile home with all the mod cons or a leafy pitch await you in your Sandaya campsite close to Brive. You'll be able to enjoy a wide range of activities that'll fill your days nicely: pétanque, football, aquagym, bike rides etc. And if it gets too hot, you can head straight for the water! Set off for the swimming pools and waterslides of the water park and find your inner child! When evening comes, you'll be cooking with the family or heading for the campsite restaurant to talk about what's on the agenda for tomorrow!

Caves, chasms, castles and more! Heritage is everywhere for all your adventures in the Pays de Brive! Here, children can show off their abilities as explorers on land, on water and up in the air, to their hearts' content. No chance at all of staying indoors!
To get the blood flowing in their legs again and to quench their thirst for new discoveries, take them along to the famous Gardens of Colette in Varetz, just a few minutes from Brive-la-Gaillarde. Perfect for a fun outing with the family, the flower-filled, 5 hectares of grounds are home to a giant maze that's exclusively for kids. Here, you'll also be able to explore a wonderful rose garden, test your skills with the giant wooden games or enjoy a little picnic beneath the trees.

And if there's one thing that Brive-la-Gaillarde certainly excels at, it's cooking! Here, local produce forms an integral part of the town's very identity, and in the famous Georges Brassens covered market is where you'll find it in all its forms. Head for Place du 14 Juillet and put your basket together: charcuterie, foie gras, truffles, tourtous (pancakes) etc. Just have a look around the stalls and try some of everything!
After your romantic picnic, Brive invites you to enjoy a one-of-a-kind tour: the illustrious Denoix distillery! Having been creating liqueurs since 1839, enter its 19th century production area and find out about a know-how from a different era. And the good news is that both the tour and the tasting are free of charge!
