Le Verdon-sur-Mer, the ideal holiday destination!
There’s nothing better than a campsite stay on the ocean shore to get far away from the everyday and take a deep breath of pure fresh air! Let Sandaya take you off to Le Verdon-sur-Mer, a seaside resort in the north of the Médoc, just at the mouth of the Gironde estuary. Sun-drenched days on endless sandy beaches, a trip to the Cordouan lighthouse or a ferry crossing to Royan... Let getting away from it all be the watchword for your holiday in South-West France!
And when it comes to getting away from it all, your Sandaya campsite in the Gironde is a specialist in the matter! So, come and make the most of its heated swimming pools and waterslides with the family, its outdoor sports grounds, free children’s clubs and summer evenings on the restaurant terrace... In short, all those little extras that make such a big difference. Whether there are two of you or ten, you’ll find your ideal holiday rental, in a fully-equipped cottage or on a tree-planted camping pitch. And, as night falls, head for the beach and all the promise of a sublime sunset over the ocean!
Visit Le Verdon-sur-Mer with the family
Le Verdon-sur-Mer offers the special privilege of enjoying two seafronts. On one side, you can admire the delightful panorama over the Atlantic Ocean and the Cordouan lighthouse from the Saint-Nicolas beach and on the other, an unspoilt view of Royan and the Gironde estuary from that of La Chambrette. Which stage will you prefer to set the scene for your holiday? The choice is yours!
Watersports fans are certain to prefer taking to the ocean waves as they skim over the water on their kitesurf, sailboard or surfboard. But if you’re looking for a little more tranquillity, opt for the La Chambrette beach where all the family can enjoy sun-drenched bathing in Europe’s largest estuary. And to get there, nothing beats a bike ride from your Sandaya campsite!
