So set your heading for the Puy de Sancy, with its total height of 1,886m it’s the highest volcano in France. But if the very idea of an ascent of 546m on foot gives you vertigo, take the cable car and relax as you admire its incredible views.
The slopes of the Puy de Sancy offer plenty of fascinating discoveries for the two of you. Unmissable, a visit to the Saint-Nectaire church provides a breathtaking view over the whole massif. And don’t leave without tasting its famous PDO cheese! Over in Mont-Dore, a spot of wellness therapy is exactly what you need after all that effort. Not just a renowned spa resort, you can also take a refreshing walk to discover its innumerable waterfalls!
