The Most Beautiful Villages of Occitanie
The adventure begins just a few kilometres north of Montpellier in the listed village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert. Not only will it offer you a journey back through time as you explore its Romanesque church and cobbled streets, but the village is also the gateway to the Gorges de l’Hérault. Into the water everyone!
Continue west and you’re in Cathar Country. Surrounded by the vines and hills so characteristic of the Corbières, the little towns of Minerve and Lagrasse, lying either side of Narbonne, will immerse you in the age of the Knights Templar. A whole new world to explore!
The Most Beautiful Villages of Provence
At the seaside or at the foot of the mountains, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region conceals so many treasures just waiting to be discovered during your trips out and about. Clinging to its cliffside, the village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, capital of ceramics, is a must-visit during your holiday in the Gorges du Verdon. To the north of Draguignan, Tourtour and Bargême are both gems of the Haut-Var, each presenting its own pageant of age-worn stonework and vaulted passageways. Plus of course the breathtaking panorama they offer over the surrounding plains!
Down on the coast, head for the village of Gassin, near the famous Pampelonne Beach, where you’ll be able to enjoy an exceptional view over the Gulf of Saint-Tropez.
The Most Beautiful Villages of the Dordogne
A total change of scene in the heart of the Périgord. To the south of Sarlat, relax and let the magic do its work in the village of La Roque-Gageac, built into the cliffside and bathed by the Dordogne. Admire it from down on the water aboard an authentic gabare! On opposite banks of the river, the villages of Castelnaud-la-Chapelle and Beynac-et-Cazenac still bear the signs of their long-past enmity in their famous castles, standing proudly above the landscape. Accept their invitation to travel deep into the Middle Ages as you wander the narrow streets lined by traditional houses with their stone-tiled roofs.
The Most Beautiful Villages of Charente
Take a journey through the heart of the Charente marshes opposite the radiant Île d’Oléron, home to some of the pearls of the Atlantic coast. Concealed behind its ramparts, the fortified town of Brouage awaits you for a captivating lesson in Charente history, from fascinating powder magazines to underground ports. Then take the road towards Royan and stop off in the enchanting village of Mornac-sur-Seudre. With its multicoloured fishermen’s huts, narrow flower-filled streets and authentic craft boutiques, you’ll never tire of exploring it every which way and all day long!
The most beautiful villages in Corsica
Corsica is not called the "Island of Beauty" by chance. From north to south, there is an abundance of beautiful typical villages, such as Penta-di-Casinca. Perched on top of a mountain, its historic centre offers a breath-taking panoramic view over the Tyrrhenian Sea. Nestling in the heart of Cap Corse, Nonza is another medieval gem in Haute-Corse. Its Santa Ghjulia Church, around which the village has been built, will be the perfect starting point for visiting this rough diamond that overlooks the Mediterranean.

Built on the shores of Lake Geneva, the town of Yvoire offers a great many charms. There is a reason why it is considered to be one of the most beautiful villages of France! This ancient medieval town, over 700 years old, offers an atmosphere which is peaceful, almost enchanting, with its narrow flower-covered streets, its ramparts, its castle and its Garden of the Five Senses. A pearl of Lake Geneva and a jewel in the Haute-Savoie, Yvoire is well worth the detour!
The most beautiful villages in Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur
In the heart of the Vaucluse and the Luberon Natural Park, there is a secret treasure which stands proudly on a rock: Gordes. One of the most beautiful villages in France, it will delight you straight away with its Provencal charm, its gentle southern way of life, and its rich and varied heritage. All that is missing is the sound of the cicadas and the fragrance of lavender to complete your immersion in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and make it even more idyllic! Another jewel of Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence is a must when visiting Provence. Stroll around its streets, visit its museums, including the Carrières de Lumière, and be won over by its Provencal way of life.
