Visit the Medes Islands with the family
After a great holiday breakfast on the terrace, it’s time to head for L’Estartit. Only a few minutes from your Sandaya campsite, this is where the real journey begins. Just 900m from the coast, the Medes Islands archipelago draws all eyes. Looking every inch the pirate’s lair, who could resist wanting to explore it!
With the family, head out to sea for a sensational immersive excursion aboard a glass-bottomed boat that offers a spectacular view of the multicoloured seabed. Keep those eyes wide open! On your return to dry land, prolong your day on one of the innumerable beaches and creeks along the Montgrí coast where snorkelling is king.
Visit the Medes Islands as a couple
If a boat trip is a real must-do for families, for your romantic day out together we have a very different activity in mind. What would you say to going scuba diving, with all the kit, bottles included, for a close encounter with the exceptional biodiversity of the Medes Islands?
With a professional guide, you’ll be able to get within touching distance of the fish, coral, crabs and starfish that call the reserve their home. But you don’t have to worry, the diving spots and depths adapt to all levels! And if you’re not quite ready to head to the seabed, opt for a snorkelling trip with flippers and mask. There’s no need to go far under water to enjoy the spectacle!

On 16 July come and take part in the Santa Carme, a maritime festival where the boats head off in procession all the way to the Medes Islands!
