Camping Montpellier Zoo, book your stay!
Montpellier Zoo, an unmissable visit during your holiday!
Montpellier Zoo, also known as Lunaret Zoo, is one of the city’s largest green spaces. So it’s hardly surprising that it rapidly established itself as a favourite walk for the locals. With its 80ha of greenery flirting with that of the Lez nature reserve, it offers an unbeatable spot to enjoy those endless summer days! Your campsite stay in Montpellier will be the ideal occasion to come and get to know the giraffes, bears and lions in one of France’s biggest zoos, only a few minutes from your mobile home.
You prefer traditional camping? Set-up your tent or campervan in the shade of the oak trees and let nature be your garden! Then it’s on with the swimsuits and off to the waterslides in the bathing area. And after that? How about a game of pétanque, tennis or mini-golf to make the most of every sun-drenched minute of your summer holiday?
Visit Montpellier Zoo with the family
Between the majestic cheetahs, mysterious wolves, bounding wallabies and adorable tiger cats, the children won’t know where to look first! No worries! You’ll have ample time to make the most of the 11km of paths that wend their way through the vast tree-shaded park.
All year round, the zoo organises free guided visits for families, ideal to immerse yourself in this special world, get close to the animals and learn more about the zoo’s conservation role. Starting to feel peckish? There are plenty of picnic areas in the shade of the tall trees, just perfect for a quick meal before you continue your visit!
Visit Montpellier Zoo as a couple
And if we said that you can travel to the Amazon without leaving Montpellier? In addition to the outdoor visitors’ trail around the zoo, push open the doors to the Amazonian greenhouse and lose yourself in its tropical jungle!
With 2,600m² of lush vegetation, feel what it’s like to explore a real tropical rainforest, the conditions have been so accurately reproduced that the illusion is total! From mangrove to tree-top canopy, cross the path of a toucan, a giant anteater or even an anaconda in its enclosure. There may be a charge to visit the tropical house, but it is very definitely worth it during your trip to the zoo!
