On-site, a watersports centre is waiting to welcome you on the lakeshore: pedal-boat, SUP, catamaran, canoe... All you have to do is choose, and you’re ready to head out over the waters of the 750ha lake and explore its every corner. You’re certain to find a little creek that will make the perfect setting for your holiday picnic! But if you prefer staying on dry land, there are plenty of footpaths that offer a chance to admire Salagou Lake from every possible angle, in a setting that is always exceptional.
Visit Salagou Lake as a couple
There may be a thousand different ways to explore Salagou Lake, but the view from the summit of Mont Liausson has to be the most beautiful. Hand-in-hand, head off along this hiking trail that has already won the hearts of so many admirers. The 7.5km walk (allow around 3½hours) offers a series of spectacular panoramas over the lake on one side and the strange dolomite rock pillars of the Mourèze Cirque on the other. A truly breathtaking spectacle!
As you return from your romantic day out together, why not stop off in the charming village of Mourèze. Dominated by the ruins of its ancient castle, you won’t be able to help falling under its charm and it will soon be high on the list of your favourite holiday memories from the Hérault!
