Camping Mont-Dore Hillclimb

If you’ve chosen to drop your bags in Auvergne this summer, make the most of the occasion to watch one of the legendary mountain race events: the Mont-Dore Hillclimb! An opportunity to see competitors from all around the world join battle on a winding course at the foot of the Puy de Sancy, in the delightful department of the Puy-de-Dôme.

On the programme for this hair-raising race: a 5,075m route with no less than 43 bends, between Moreaux and the Croix-Saint-Robert Pass. The best viewpoints: La Carrière, 800m from the finishing line;  the Tertre de Moreaux, a mound 500m from the starting line; La Tranchée, set right on a bend.
