Le Pouliguen, the ideal holiday destination!
This summer, head for the Guérande peninsula where your Sandaya campsite is waiting to put together a fabulous holiday just for you, opposite the ocean waves. On your excursions to discover the area, you’re certain to come across the seaside resort of Le Pouliguen, nestling between the Bay of La Baule and Batz-sur-Mer. In addition to long afternoons on the beach come and explore its wild coast full of secret creeks and mysterious caves. It’s time to go adventuring!
Set up home in one of our cottages at the seaside or on a tree-shaded pitch in the midst of nature. Fancy simply lazing? Chill out in the campsite’s water park with its covered and heated swimming pool, whilst the kids enjoy all the fun entertainment of the free mini clubs. You prefer your water with a salty tang? Then head for the beach and a kitesurfing lesson with the family! Thirsting for adventure? Forget the car, here the bike is king! Get pedalling along the cycle tracks that follow the ocean shore and discover the innumerable gems of the Guérande peninsula.

Whether you’re longing for an invigorating bathe, a spot of shellfish gathering or a delicious crêpe looking out over the ocean, all routes lead to Le Pouliguen. From the pretty marina that it shares with La Baule, stroll along the famous Le Pouliguen promenade, open to the ocean: stalls selling niniches, souvenir shops, merry-go-rounds, cafés... The promenade is always buzzing with life, simply go with the flow!
You’ve brought your swimsuit? Great, the pretty Le Nau beach, at the end of the Promenade, invites you to come bathing with the family. And there’s no shortage of other activities: sailing, beach volleyball, kayaking, SUP... and shellfish gathering at low tide!
Visit Le Pouliguen as a couple
On foot or by bike, head for the seaside resort of Le Pouliguen just a few minutes from your Sandaya campsite, ready for an unforgettable outing along its wild coast! Whether you set off along the GR34 long distance footpath for an unbeatable hike, or the cycle track to pedal with your hair in the wind, the spectacle is just at breathtaking. From the Penchâteau headland to the Le Scall bay, the rugged creeks and caves carved out by the ocean are yours to explore, overlooked by the superb 19th century seaside villas.
But whatever you do don’t miss the Les Korrigans cave, the most famous of all; it can be reached by a staircase at low tide. Make the most of the moment to discover its legend and enjoy a delicious picnic just the two of you.
