Camping Ile d'Yeu, book your stay!
The Île d’Yeu, the ideal holiday destination!
So why choose the Vendée as a holiday destination? Because of its unique charm, its constantly mild climate and because (it goes without saying!) of our Sandaya campsites! In a fully equipped mobile home or in a tent, our luxury campsites provide you with the same special treatment: a varied activity programme for the whole family, covered swimming pools and outdoor swimming pools, a wonderful seaside panorama and more! Nothing's too good for your holidays here!
Leaving from Fromentine or Barbâtre, a boat service means you can reach Port Joinville on the Île d’Yeu, where little boats and trawlers form the backdrop. You'll find all your senses stimulated straightaway! On foot or by bike, set off to discover the amazingly varied scenery on the island. Endless surprises await you here!
Visit the Île d’Yeu with the family
Take the children along and play knights and princesses at the Vieux-Château of the Île d’Yeu and take a journey back to the Middle Ages with the family!
On the wild coast of the south part of the island, the fortified castle stands looking out towards the ocean. Go over the drawbridge and take a trip back in time lasting 45 minutes as you see its courtyard, towers and wall walks! Below you, pretty inlets make for wonderful locations for little picnics at the water's edge. With stone skimming, sand castle building and shell gathering, let the afternoon drift by as you see fit before setting off back to the campsite!
Visit the Île d’Yeu as a couple
Having disembarked onto the Île d’Yeu, you have a range of choices: head for the sand dunes on the coast and the long sandy beaches to the north, or for the wild coast with its towering cliffs to the south. On the Île d’Yeu, you can walk for ages without seeing a soul: there's nothing quite like it for enjoying your stay as a twosome!
And if you find yourself missing civilisation, you can set off to encounter the locals in the flower-filled villages of Port-Joinville, Saint-Sauveur and La Meule. You'll always find somewhere to taste the island's local specialities. Don't leave without trying some delicious prune tart!
