Whether you get from the campsite to Piriac-sur-Mer by car or by bike, you’ll only want to do one thing when you arrive: hit the water! And with its 11km of coastline, this little harbour village will spoil you for choice. But the beach that families prefer is that of Saint-Michel. It even has its own beach club with a whole heap of activities to keep you busy!
This beach is also the starting point for the delightful seaside footpath that leads to the “Pointe de Castelli”. Measuring 10km in all, you can also choose to walk only a section and take your time to appreciate its most beautiful viewpoints, such as the famous “Almanzor’s Tomb”. This rock, with its surprising shape, is steeped in mystery... and has a fascinating legend for you to uncover!

If the beaches of Piriac-sur-Mer are renowned as being perfect for families, the village itself is ideal for a romantic stroll hand-in-hand. With its labyrinth of cobbled streets, don’t hesitate to lose yourselves between the small squares and flower-decked medieval houses. Stop off for a moment at the Maison du Patrimoine heritage centre and discover its 6,000 years of history. But if you’d still like to enjoy a bathe, the Piriac-sur-Mer coastline has plenty of secret creeks just waiting to be found.
If you’re a fan of bike touring, then why not head off on the Vélocéan, a cycle track that will lead you to all the regions’ most gorgeous seaside places. The entire Guérande peninsula awaits you!
