There are a number of emblematic sites that you should see at least once in your life, and mont Saint-Michel is one of them. The monument naturally features on the UNESCO World Heritage list and is quite simply unique. It can only be accessed at low tide, almost as if you have to earn the privilege of visiting. The effort is definitely worth it, however, because once you’re there, you’ll be amazed by the magic and wonder of the place.
However, there’s more to Normandy and the Manche department than this national treasure! Cancale, Cherbourg, the D-Day Landing beaches, Jersey and Guernsey the most French of the British islands... the to-do list for your Normandy holiday will depend on what you’re looking for, but one thing is for sure – there won’t be a dull moment!
